In the Forex market today, the Indian rupee appreciated 13 paise at 83 rupees 75 paise against the US dollar supported by heightened expectations of a 50 basis points rate cut in the US Federal Reserve meeting scheduled this week.

The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is trading at 100.68 in intra-day trade.
