In the Forex market today, the Indian rupee ended two paise lower to close at 83 rupees 97 paise against the US dollar due to the strengthening of the American currency in the overseas market.

The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is trading at 101.65 in intra-day trade.
