In the Forex market today, the Indian rupee closes at 83 rupees and 90 paise against the U.S. dollar.

The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is down by 0.01 per cent, at 100.70 in intra-day trade.
