In the Forex market today, Indian rupee appreciated four paise at 83 rupees 95 paise against the US dollar amid a positive trend in domestic equities and foreign fund inflows. The dollar index, which indicates US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is trading at 101.72 in intra-day trade.
