In the Forex market today, Indian rupee appreciated two paise at 83 rupees 95 paise against the US dollar. The local unit opened at 83.97 and witnessed an intra-day high of 83.91 before ending the session at 83.95 against the American currency.

The dollar index, which indicates US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, is trading at 101.03 in intra-day trade.
