Indian Railways is running special train services across the country for the convenience of rail travelers to meet the festival season rush. Every year, Railways runs special trains during festive season to facilitate the travel of lakhs of passengers. There has been a notable increase of two thousand 800 special trains compared to previous years. Last year, around four thousand 500 special trains were operated during this season.
Talking to Akashvani News, Delhi Divisional Railway Manager, Sukhwinder Singh said that in view of the festival, the number of unreserved coaches in trains have been increased for the passengers. He also informed that this time additional 123 regulars trains are being operated as compared to last year.
