In view of the Chhath festival, the Railways is operating special trains for the convenience and smooth travel of passengers. yesterday, around 25 festival special trains originated from Delhi-NCR to the eastern regions of the country.
Talking exclusively to Akashvani, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, said, the Northern Railway is also operating trains on demand for the benefit of the passengers who travel in general class.
To cater to the rush of passengers during the festive season this year, the Indian Railways is operating around seven thousand specials from 1st October till the 30th of this month. Nearly two lakh extra passengers can travel by these special trains on a daily basis. Security measures have also been taken for crowd control and smooth functioning.
