Indian para badminton team returns to India with pride and medals from Paris Paralympics

The Indian para – badminton team today returned to India with pride and medals from the Paris Paralympics 2024 showcasing the true spirit of resilience and excellence. They were welcomed at the IGI  Airport in New Delhi. While Shuttler Kumar Nitesh has won Gold Medal, Thulasimathy Murugesan and Suhas Yathiraj won Silver Medals and Manisha Ramdass and Nithya Sre Sivan won Bronze medals.

 

Later, Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya felicitated the Indian para-badminton contingent and lauded their achievements. Dr. Mandaviya said that the country has surpassed its Tokyo Paralympics medal tally with 20 medals so far. He highlighted the country’s improved performance in both the Olympics and Paralympics over the past decade. Dr. Mandaviya expressed confidence that the players will achieve further success in the ongoing events.
