President, Vice President, and Prime Minister congratulates Indian Para Athlete Preethi Pal for Historic Bronze Medal

 

At Paris Paralympics 2024, Indian Para Athlete Preethi Pal secured yet another medal for India, clinching a Bronze medal in the Women’s 200 meters – T35 Final. She won the medal with a personal best timing of 30.01 seconds. With this win, she became the first track and field Indian Woman Para Athlete to win two medals at the Paralympics.       

 

President Droupadi Murmu congratulated Preethi Pal for her second medal in the Paris Paralympics. In a social media post, President Murmu said that – India is proud of her. Draped in tricolour, her victorious images have electrified sports lovers. May she strengthen sports culture among the youth and win greater accolades for India.

 

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also congratulated Preethi. In a social media post, the Vice President said that – he commend her dedication, hard work, and perseverance, which helped her achieve this remarkable feat.       

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appreciated the historical achievement by Preethi Pal. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that – she is an inspiration for the people of India. Her dedication is truly remarkable.

 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister also spoke to India’s Paralympic medal winners through phone call yesterday. During the conversation, he congratulated them for their achievements in the Paralympic Games. The athletes PM Modi spoke to included Mona Agarwal, Preethi Pal, Manish Narwal, and Rubina Francis.
