On August 19, 2023, INS Visakhapatnam made an entry into Al-Shuwaikh Port, Kuwait, garnering a warm reception led by Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Oraifi, Head of Training of the Kuwaiti Naval Force. This hearty welcome underscored the amicable ties between the two nations' naval forces and highlighted the significance of their cooperation. Prior to its Kuwait visit, INS Visakhapatnam had also visited the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, demonstrating India's proactive engagement in strengthening regional partnerships and promoting maritime security.
