Indian equity indices hit their all-time high levels in today’s early trade

Indian equity indices hit their all-time high levels in today’s early trade, with the Sensex surpassing the 77,000-mark for the first time ever. The benchmark indices have gained for the fourth consecutive session, driven by optimism in the markets attributed to several factors. These include the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) revising its GDP growth projection upwards to 7.2 per cent for 2024-25 from the earlier 7 per cent, as well as fresh foreign fund inflows.

The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 386 points to hit its new record high of 77,079 in early deals. The NSE Nifty climbed 122 points to hit its lifetime peak of 23,412.
