Indian Embassy in Libya Facilitates Return of 18 Nationals Stranded in Benghazi

The Embassy of India in Libya has facilitated the return of 18 Indian nationals from Benghazi, Libya. They will be arriving in the country today. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal informed this in a social media post stating that these Indians had gone to work in Libya and had been stranded for several weeks. He said, the Embassy worked closely with the local authorities and assisted the Indian workers with required authorization and travel documents. He further said the embassy remained in constant touch with them to ensure their well-being, assisting them with articles of daily living while their case was being looked into. Three other Indian nationals from the same group had returned to the country earlier in October.  Mr Jaiswal added that the Government of India remains committed to the welfare and safety of all Indians abroad.
