Indian Embassy in Laos has rescued thirteen Indians from cyber scamming centres in Laos and ensured their safe return to India. In a social media post, the Embassy said it has rescued 518 Indians so far.

The Embassy thanked Lao authorities for their cooperation in the matter. It also urged Indian workers coming to Laos to not put their safety at risk by getting duped into fake or illegal job offers for cyber scams. Indian nationals have been advised not to get enticed or entrapped in fraudulent or exploitative job offers.
