Indian Badminton players Kidambi Srikanth & PV Sindhu progresses into Singles quarter-finals of Australian Open

In Badminton, ace Indian players Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu progressed into the Singles quarter-finals of the Australian Open today, August 3. Kidambi registered a win over Chinese Taipei’s Su Li Yang, 21-10, 21-17 in the second round of Men's Singles. 

In Women's Singles, Fifth seed Sindhu defeated compatriot Aakarshi Kashyap 21-14, 21-10 in pre-quarterfinals. Two-time Olympic medallist Sindhu will take on World No. 12 Beiwen Zhang of the United States tomorrow for a place in Semifinal. In other men's singles matches of the day, HS Prannoy will face Chinese Taipei’s Chi Yu Jen later in the day. Kiran George will meet Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. India's Mithun Manjunath will be up against Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia. Rising shuttler Priyanshu Rajawat will lock horns with Wang Tzu We in the second round.
