The Indian Army organized the Subedar Harka Bahadur Volleyball Championship to commemorate the Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas, in Chanigound village, Ladakh. 16 teams from different villages participated in the tournament highlighting the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.
Padam Shree Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat was the Cheif Guest, with Brigade 121 Infantry Brigade was the guest of honor.
The final match, a thrilling encounter between Friends Pashkum and Baltistan Warriors, ended with Friends Pashkum claiming the victory.
Later the Cheif Guest distributed, trophies and certificates among the winners and runner-up teams.
Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat while talking to media said that the event not only celebrated athletic excellence but also honored the valor and sacrifices of the Kargil heroes.
