Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia visits Tabuk Province

As part of efforts to expand diplomatic outreach and foster international partnerships, a delegation from the Indian Mission in Saudi Arabia led by Ambassador Dr. Suhel Khan visited Saudi Arabia’s strategically located Tabuk Province. Tabuk, which borders Jordan, is not only home to the iconic NEOM city currently under construction along the Red Sea but is also a critical stop in the multi-modal logistics corridor under the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor.

During his visit, the Ambassador met with Tabuk Governor HRH Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz AlSaud to discuss strengthening people-to-people and business ties between India and the region. Recognizing Tabuk’s pivotal role in the India-Middle-East-Europe Corridor, Dr. Khan emphasized the province’s potential as a key logistics hub.

Productive discussions with the Tabuk Chamber of Commerce, exploring avenues for Indian companies to collaborate with local businesses, were also conducted. Additionally, a visit to TADCO, a leading agricultural company, highlighted the potential for India-Saudi partnerships in this sector. Tabuk’s prominence in agricultural production, particularly olives, dates, and various fruits, offers promising prospects for both nations.

To further strengthen cultural and economic ties, Dr. Khan also inaugurated an India Utsav at Lulu Hypermarket, introducing new Indian products to the Saudi market. The event also provided an opportunity to interact with the thriving Indian community in Tabuk.
