In Women’s Cricket, India will take on Ireland in the second match of the three One Day International series today at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, in Rajkot, Gujarat. The match will start at 11 am.
Chasing a target of 239 runs in the first ODI, the Women in Blue secured a six-wicket victory to take a 1-nil series lead. Key contributions came from impressive knocks by Pratika Rawal and Tejal Hasabnis, complemented by fiery innings from stand-in captain Smriti Mandhana. Rawal was named Player of the Match in the first ODI for her score of 89 runs in 96 balls. Smriti Mandhana is currently leading the Indian team as full-time captain Harmanpreet Kaur is resting for the series. The third match of the series will be played on the 15th of this month.
