India will become 3rd largest economy in the next 3 years: Union Minister Anurag Thakur

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur has stated that India will become third largest economy in the next three years. Delivering the keynote address at the international youth day celebration organised by the UNICEF at Chennai on Saturday, the Minister said that due to the initiatives of the Government 27 percent of the population living below poverty line have risen above the level.
 
Complementing the Young minds in diverse South Asia, he said that young people can change the course at a global level in all the fields. He said that India's young population was large and they are skilled, innovative and talented.
 
Mr.Anurag Singh Thakur said that the Government schemes also had the objective of achieving sustainable development goals. The Minister said that two million youth have been trained in various skills and innovations.
The Minister appealed to the youth to join PMs call on Meri Mati Mera Desh to pay homage to the martyrs of the freedom struggle and asked the youth to click selfies while planting trees and register in yuva.gov.in
 
The Minister unveiled the Youth for Mission Life Challenge and appealed to the youth to take pro-planet actions on the MeriLiFE app.
The delegates at the Youth Conclave from Nepal, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives interacted virtually and shared their experiences in dealing with the Young minds for development in their respective countries for protecting the environment. The UN Resident Coordinator Shombi Sharp said that India has been successful in bringing the issues of climate change, resources of finance in dealing with it and attaining sustainable development goals to the international platform of G20.
