In Golf, India will host the 16th edition of the Women’s Indian Open in Gurugram, Haryana beginning tomorrow. It will feature a full field of 114 players from 31 nations including 27 from India. The Indian stars to keep an eye on will be Hitaashee Bakshi, Vani Kapoor, Gaurika Bishnoi, Amandeep Drall and Ridhima Dilawari.
The tournament will feature Diksha Dagar and Gaurika Bishnoi from India, who were placed third and eighth respectively in the 2023 edition. Other notable players include three former champions: Christine Wolf, Camille Chevalier, and Caroline Hedwall.
In 2016, Aditi Ashok made history as the first Indian to win the Women’s Indian Open. The Women’s Indian Open is India’s most prestigious women’s golf event and was founded in 2007.
