Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh has announced that India will establish its own station in space by 2035. This station will be named the Indian Space Station, and this project will be operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He said this while talking to journalists during his visit to the Meteorological Centre in Shimla today.
Jitendra Singh said that the project was earlier planned to be completed by 2030, but due to the delay caused by the Gaganyaan crew spaceflight mission and the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been postponed to 2035. He said that Shimla was the summer capital of the country during the British period, and considering the geographical conditions here, the Meteorological Centre plays a very important role.
