Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today said that India will play a big role in making telecom services and digital connectivity available to emerging economies. He was speaking at the inauguration of the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly and the 8th edition of the India Mobile Congress today in New Delhi. The Minister said that seamless broadband connectivity across the country has earned India the moniker, Trusted Partner of the World.
Mr Goyal emphasised India’s growth story with the launch of 5G parallel to the world and leading the innovation of 6G in the telecommunications sector. Speaking on the theme- The Future is Now, Mr Goyal said that India is contributing to not only its future but to the entire world and its offering of digital technologies plays an integral part in bringing the world together as one family.
The Minister further urged the companies to find solutions to help take telecom to countries still behind in network connectivity.
