Yesterday, the Indian Men’s team began their campaign at the tournament on a winning note, defeating Italy 64-22. In the inaugural match of the event, hosts England defeated Hungary 101-25.
India have entered the tournament as the defending champion in both the Men’s and Women’s sections. In the Men’s competition, 10 teams are divided into two groups-A and B. India is placed in Group B, alongside Italy, Scotland, Wales, and Hong Kong, while Group A features England, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and the USA. The Women’s competition consists of six teams, split into two groups-D and E. India is in Group D, competing against Wales and Poland, while Group E includes Hong Kong, Hungary, and England.
