India reaches 344 for 3 at lunch on Day 4 of opening Test against New Zealand

In cricket, India reached 344 for three at lunch on the fourth day of the opening Test against New Zealand at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, helped by Sarfaraz Khan’s maiden Test century. Sarfaraz was at 125 and Rishabh Pant at 53 were at crease when an early lunch was taken due to rain. The duo accumulated 113 runs for the unbeaten fourth wicket partnership in just 22 overs.

       

India are currently trailing by 12 runs against the visitors. For New Zealand, Ajaz Patel took two wickets, while Glenn Phillips took one.

       

On day three, the Visitors posted a huge total of 402 runs in their first innings supported by a 134 run innings by Rachin Ravindra. Earlier, the Indian team was bundled out for 46 runs in their first innings. India are currently at the top of the World Test Championship standings, while New Zealand is in sixth place.
