India open Super 750 badminton tournament begins

India Open Super 750 badminton tournament begins today at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi. The event features over 200 top badminton players, including International Olympic champions, and 36 Indian participants.

 

PV Sindhu, returning after a long break post-Paris Olympics 2024, will face Taiwan’s Sung Shuo-Yun in the women’s singles Round of 32 at 11:20 AM.

 

The Indian men’s duo of Sathish Karunakaran and Aadya Variyath is set to face the French duo of Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue in the men’s doubles round of 32 at 9:40 AM.

 

Another Indian doubles stars Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will compete against Malaysia’s Tee Kai Wun and Man Wei Chong at 11:40 AM. Fresh off a semi-final finish at the Malaysia Open Super 1000, the duo aims to reclaim their 2022 India Open title.

 

India’s star shuttler Lakshya Sen, the 2022 champion also looks forward to competing in front of fans, a privilege he missed during his earlier victory due to pandemic restrictions.
