Rain has delayed the toss for the first cricket test of the three-match series between India and New Zealand in Bengaluru this morning.

India is currently at the top of the ICC World Test Championship points table, and victory in this series will further strengthen their hopes of qualifying for the final for the third time in a row. The hosts will also be aiming for their 19th consecutive series win at home since the 2012-13 season.

The second Test will be played from 24th to 28th October in Pune. The third and final test will take place from 1st to 5th of November in Mumbai. Rohit Sharma is leading the Men in Blue, while wicketkeeper batter Tom Latham is captaining the Kiwis.
