India & Mongolia reaffirm commitment to strengthen Strategic Partnership

India and Mongolia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their Strategic Partnership. Senior officials from both nations yesterday conducted a comprehensive review of bilateral ties, discussing cooperation in key sectors, and planning high-level engagements to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

 

 

A consultative meeting was held between Secretary (East) in External Affairs Ministry Jaideep Mazumdar and State Secretary in Mongolia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav in New Delhi to review the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The two sides held discussions on further strengthening the bilateral Strategic Partnership and maintaining high-level engagements.

 

 

Both sides also took stock of cooperation in various sectors, including developmental partnership, education, IT, energy, connectivity, culture, capacity building, mining, defence and security. They agreed to carry out a series of commemorative activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Both sides also agreed to formally upgrade the Foreign Office Constitutions to Secretary-level. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
