The centre today said India is the largest source of Human Hair (raw material) in the world. This information was given by the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha. She said the country had exported 169.23 million dollar in value of Human Hair during last fiscal. Ms. Patel said PLEX Council is actively working with the industry to attend various trade shows across the world. It is also working with the government to provide training to the Indian exporters to start producing high-value goods such as wigs.
