India is leaving no stone unturned towards prevention of non-communicable diseases through AB-HWCs: Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that India is leaving no stone unturned towards the prevention of non-communicable diseases through Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres, AB-HWCs. In reply to a post on a social media platform by World Health Organisation-WHO, Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Health Minister said that the government of India is also strengthening health infra, human resource development, and ensuring early diagnosis. He added that we are committed to ensuring Health for All.
 
In a Social Media Post, the WHO DG said that earlier this year, India set a target to reach 75 million people with hypertension and diabetes on treatment by 2025. He added that this is based on WHO's HEARTS technical package of interventions. He said, this is the largest expansion of care for non-communicable diseases the world has seen. He congratulated India saying that together we can achieve Health For All.
