Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that India emerged as a frontline nation in the comity of developed and scientifically advanced countries. Dr. Singh said this after unveiling the report titled ‘A Decade of Science and Technology Panorama for Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ at a function in New Delhi today. Addressing the gathering he said, India is ready to take up a leadership role in emerging science and technologies and the world is looking towards the country to become a beacon.  The Minister added that Indian scientists already had the acumen to develop world-class innovation, but the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given an enabling milieu in recent years. Dr. Singh said that a ‘decade of science’ is based on 3 pillars of self-esteem and empowerment of the scientific community, technology becoming a way of life, and success stories in science and technology have placed India on a world pedestal.
