Nepal and India’s friendship takes one step forward by laying the foundation stone for the construction of the Kuri Health Post-Birthing Centre Building at Khaniyabas Rural Municipality in Dhading. The foundation stone was jointly laid by Constituent Assembly Member Dilman Pakhrin, Chairman of Khaniyabas Rural Municipality, Ran Bahadur Tamang, and Gitanjali Brandon, Counsellor in the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, in the presence of government officials, political leaders, and residents.
Kuri Health Post-Birthing Centre is being built with the Government of India’s financial assistance at the project cost of NRs.25.10 million under ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’. The Government of India’s grant under ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’ is being utilised to construct a Health Post-Birthing Centre and other allied facilities. The project is being taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP). The implementation of HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in bolstering the efforts of the Government of Nepal in the upliftment of its people and augmenting infrastructure in the field of priority sectors.
Constituent Assembly Member, Chairman, Khaniyabas Rural Municipality, and other stakeholders appreciated the continued developmental support of the Government of India in the upliftment of the people of Nepal. This health post-birthing centre would help provide better medical health facilities in the hilly region.
As close neighbours, India and Nepal are engaged in wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation.
