In Kerala, the Flag Officer Commanding- in – Chief of the Southern Naval Command Vice Admiral V Srinivas laid a wreath at the War Memorial of the Naval Base in Kochi this morning. He also reviewed a ceremonial parade held at the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology Parade Ground at the Southern Naval Command. 

In Lakshadweep, Advisor to the Lakshadweep Administrator Sandeep Kumar, hoisted the National Flag at the  Senior Secondary School Stadium at Kavaratti this morning. The celebrations were curtailed following heavy rain in the region
