Bangladesh were 107 for three in their first innings against India on Day One of the second and final Test match in Kanpur, when stumps were drawn this afternoon due to heavy rain. Mominul Haque at 40 and Mushfiqur Rahim at 6 were at the crease, when the play on Day One was called off due to incessant rain. For the hosts, Akash Deep claimed two wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin got One.
Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field first after intermittent rain and wet outfield delayed the toss. India fielded the same playing eleven as in the first match, while Bangladesh made two changes to their team. Taijul Islam and Khaled Ahmed have replaced Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed.
The hosts are aiming for a clean sweep of the two-match series after taking a one-nil lead in the series. India defeated the visitors in the first Test by a huge margin of 280 runs in Chennai.
