In Bihar, incessant rainfall has triggered flash flood-like situations in several parts of Kaimur district. Seasonal rivers like Karmnasha, Durgawati and Suvara are in full spate due to continuous rainfall. Several buildings, hospital and offices has been submerged in Bhabhua city due to rise of water level of Suvara river.
School children of DAV school and Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Vidyalaya were rescued in emergency situation after flood water entered in the premises.
District Magistrate of Kaimur, Sawan Kumar said several patients including pregnant women have been safely evacuated from the Primary Health Centre as the premises has been submerged. The DM said Disaster Management teams have kept on high alert in view of any eventuality.
The Met department has issued warning of heavy rainfall in Rohtas, Kaimur, Gaya, Aurangabad and nearby districts today.
