Katihar, Araria, Madhepura, Sheohar, and other districts are witnessing incessant rainfall over the past two days. A trough line of the cyclonic circulation is passing through neighbouring Jharkhand and West Bengal which is creating favourable conditions for rainfall in the state. Water Resources Department has sounded an alert due to heavy rainfall in the catchment areas of Nepal originating rivers. Meanwhile, water level of Ganga and its tributaries are showing falling trends in different districts. It is expected that situation will improve in flood ravaged areas of Patna, Munger, Begusarai and other districts in couple of days.
