The Inception Workshop for the “Capacity Building Programme for Climate Smart Governance” was held today in Gangtok, Sikkim.     Organized by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority (SSDMA), the workshop aimed to address climate challenges in Sikkim.

The workshop focused on sectors like Agriculture, Forestry, Tourism, and Water, conducting a training needs analysis and identifying vulnerable social groups.

Experts and stakeholders from various government departments and institutions participated, fostering collaboration for sustainable climate-smart governance.
