The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave to severe cold wave conditions continue over Northwest and Central India during the next 2 to 3 days. According to the IMD, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions will likely prevail over parts of Punjab and Madhya Pradesh today. Talking to media, IMD scientist Dr Soma Sen Roy said that there is a possibility of a 1 to 2-degree Celsius drop in temperature in Delhi as the North-westerly winds blow and south-easterly winds will blow in North India. She added that an increase in temperature by 16th and 17th of this month is also likely.
