For the North East India, India Meteorological Department has predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with isolated thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds of 30-40 Kilometres per hour during the next Seven days.
Akashwani correspondent report as predicted by the weather agency, Nagaland is experiencing heavy rainfall and thunderstorm, bringing the mercury down and a spite of relief from the heat. The state capital Kohima today recorded maximum temperature of 28 degree Celsius, while minimum temperature was recorded at 14 degree Celsius. The weather agency has also predicted isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 10th of May.
