India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and snowfall in the western Himalayas, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to western disturbance in the next five days. Talking to the media, IMD Scientist Dr Naresh Kumar said, there is a possibility of rain in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR and North Rajasthan on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
IMD has also predicted a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the plains of Northwest India during the next three days. It has also been forecast that dense fog conditions are likely to continue over Uttarakhand, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till next two days.
