India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail storms over East, Central and Peninsular India for the next four days. Scattered to fairly widespread moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and winds gusting up to 50 km per hour will occur over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Maharashtra till Thursday. Hailstorm activity is also likely at isolated places over Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Marathwada till Tuesday.
In the National Capital, the IMD predicted mainly clear skies with strong surface winds till Monday (7th April 2024). The temperature likely to hover around 36 degrees Celsius.
