Heavy rains lashed several parts of the North Gujarat region today. IMD has predicted widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in the state over the next three days and issued an orange alert of heavy rains at isolated places in the Central and South Gujarat region today. Sabarkantha, Aravali, and Mahisagar Gandhinagar are among the districts that received widespread friends today. Following the consistent rains in Gujarat, as many as 45 dams are overflowing and have been put on high alert. The largest dam in the state Sardar Sarovar dam witnessed 53% of water storage so far.
