As per the latest forecast issued by the IMD, a Red Alert has been issued in Ernakulam district, indicating very heavy rain to extremely heavy rain today. Orange Alert has been issued in eleven other districts, except Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, indicating the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain.

Tomorrow, the weatherman has issued a red alert in the districts of Idukki and Kannur. An orange alert has been issued in ten districts, except Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam. Fishermen have been advised not to venture out into the sea.
