India Meteorological Department (IMD), has issued orange alerts for Arunachal Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Bihar expecting heavy to very heavy rainfall during the next four-five days. The IMD stated that heavy rainfall activity likely to continue over Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan during the next two to three days. It said that Assam and Meghalaya also likely witness thunderstorms and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall from today and continue till the 24th of this month. Heavy rainfall is also predicted over Tamil Nadu tomorrow and the day after.
