In Kerala, the met dept forecasts heavy rain to continue in the coming days. An orange alert has been issued today in Palakkad and Malappuram districts and a yellow alert in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts. Due to the possibility of strong winds and bad weather, fisherfolks are warned from venturing into the sea on the Kerala coast. Alert is issued in the hilly regions of the State.
