IMD issues orange alert for coming 2 to 3 days in Delhi-NCR

Delhi-NCR today was engulfed in a thick layer of smog. According to the India Meteorological Department, very dense fog conditions were witnessed in several parts of the Delhi-NCR this morning. Due to dense fog conditions, several flights were also reported to be delayed at IGI Airport in New Delhi. IMD said, the weather condition changed in Delhi-NCR and other parts of northern India due to snow and rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir.

       

IMD has issued an orange alert for the coming 2 to 3 days in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. Talking to Akashvani News, Senior Scientist in IMD, Dr. RK Jenamani, said, Punjab and Haryana were witnessing the fog conditions from the past two to three days. He advised the people to be cautious while driving.
