India Meteorological Department has forecast that the maximum temperature is likely to increase over northwest India by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius from today till 2nd April. There will be no significant change in maximum temperatures over east and peninsular India during next four days. Talking to Akashvani News, Scientist Dr. R. K. Jenamani said that isolated pockets of interior Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha are very likely to experience heat wave conditions on Sunday.
The weather department also forecast hailstorm activity accompanied by thunderstorms over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hot and humid weather conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Assam, and Tripura till Monday. Meanwhile, hailstorm activity associated with thunderstorm is very likely over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka on the 1st and 2nd of April.
