IMD forecasts ‘very’ to ‘extremely heavy’ rainfall in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand till tomorrow

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand today and tomorrow.

The IMD said that extremely heavy rainfall conditions will likely be over Uttarakhand as well today. Meanwhile, very heavy rainfall will be prevalent over West Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram and Tripura today. The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall over parts of Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur and Bihar for the next 3-4 days. In West and Central India, these conditions will be present over Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh today. The IMD further said that moderate rain with thundershowers will descend over various areas of Delhi and adjoining NCR region.
