The India Meteorological Department, IMD has forecast very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Coastal and North Interior Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa during the next three days. Heavy rainfall is also likely over central, east and northeast India during the next four days. The weather office has also predicted heavy rainfall over Kerala, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and South Interior Karnataka till tomorrow.

IMD has said that the Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some parts of west Rajasthan and Kachchh today, against the normal date of 17th September.
