The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir till tomorrow. Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is also expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and some parts of Punjab tomorrow. Light to moderate rainfall will continue in Ladakh as well. The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh on Friday and Saturday.
It said that hot and humid weather conditions would prevail in isolated areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam over the next three days.
According to the IMD, maximum temperatures are expected to rise gradually by two to three degrees Celsius over the plains of Northwest India during the next two days and then fall by three to five degrees Celsius thereafter. Odisha is expected to witness a heatwave on the 29th and 30th of this month.
