The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Kerala, north interior Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Lakshadweep, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka today.
The IMD said that Kerala, Karnataka, Goa coasts, Lakshadweep area, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining parts of Comorin area are expected to experience squally weather. The weather office also advised the fishermen not to venture into these regions.
IMD further predicted no significant change in minimum temperatures over Northwest, Central and East India during next 2-3 days, with a gradual fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius thereafter. The minimum temperature over West India is likely to remain same during the next 4-5 days. Further, in Delhi-NCR, smog and shallow-moderate fog is expected in the night and morning hours
