The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over the Northwest, West, East and Central parts of the country during the next 4 days. Heavy rainfall has also been estimated for

South Peninsular region till Wednesday.

 

The weather agency also predicted heavy rainfall over Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh till 23rd August. IMD said that the low pressure area over south Bangladesh and neighbourhood persists over the same region today. It is likely to move north-northwestwards during next 24 hours and west-northwestwards during subsequent next three- four days across Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Madhya Pradesh.
